I went to Susie when I felt that the pressures of work were becoming too much. Excessively long hours in a stressful job, not seeing my family from one day to the next and never having any “me” time, was having a detrimental affect on my ability to function, at work and at home.
I had no pre-conceived ideas as to what i wanted the sessions to achieve, I just knew that something in my life, or the way i reacted to it, needed to change. With an open mind I attended 6 sessions, and by the second session I was amazed as to how much difference it had made to every aspect of my life.
Susie’s approach of seeing past the words you use to answer a simple question allowed her to probe deeper into where perceptions came from and allowed me to open up to myself as well as her. We built a level of trust in such a short space of time that Susie was able to discuss past problems that I had long “forgotten” about and yet were still having an impact on every decision I was making in my adult life.
This has had a long-term benefit as I am now more aware of stress triggers and can accommodate fluctuations in my work/life balance much easier. I would strongly recommend Susie to anyone who needs to redress the balance and consider the benefits that can come in a relatively short space of time. It could be truly life changing.
