A stress management coach is of great value in these days of work-related stress, where far too many are absent from the work-place.
I am based in Tunbridge Wells, working across Kent in the towns of Tonbridge, Maidstone, Sevenoaks and into London.
I work with men and women who every day are facing a more challenging working environment. The pressures to succeed and rise up the ranks, to be everything that the organisation requires, can mean that people are left floundering without the correct support. They are promoted without the coaching or mentoring needed for the increased responsibility. Their work-life balance is totally skewed and they need rebalancing. Mental health and mental resilience is a hot subject today and the need to get more support is crucial.
Let me give you a few facts as to why stress management is important:
The world has become faster paced and so the pressure to be all that you can be, has accelerated too, resulting in an increase of days lost.
The latest estimates from the Labour Force Survey show that:
The total number of working days lost due to stress in 2015/16 was 11.7 million days.
- -The total number of cases of work related stress, depression or anxiety in 2015/16 was 488,000 cases, a prevalence rate of 1510 per 100,000 workers.
What are the reasons stated for increased stress?
- -The two main work factors cited as causing work related stress, depression or anxiety, are workload pressures, including tight deadlines and too much responsibility and a lack of managerial support
So, what’s to be done?
It is vital that organisations provide the support for their staff or the bottom line will be impacted.
If a stress management coach would be helpful to challenge absent staff, manage those who seem unable to balance life and work, or even need to support newly promoted staff please get in touch. If your teams are struggling to get along and the stress levels have gone through the roof, why not contact me to support your staff in managing communication.
“Susie facilitated the senior leadership team in a workshop to talk about stress. Her workshop provided an improved understanding and a greater awareness of the need for coaching within organisations.”
